Cellist and composer Lester St. Louis presents TAR BACK CYCLIC as part of his 2024-2025 Roulette Residency, featuring Shamar Watt and Chris Williams.
TAR BACK CYCLIC is a new trio work for electronics, movement and projections conjuring an energy as if standing at the foot of the ocean in total darkness with wide open eyes… like listening to dub at the edge of the universe. This work is built out of a combination of St. Louis’s solo work, the ambient-dub-cutup music of HxH (Williams and St. Louis), and Watt’s techno-noise-spirit-movement work.
